The Art Of Soap Making

  • Why Hand-Made Soap?

Soap making is more than just a process to me, it’s a craft rooted in tradition, patience, and respect for nature. Before mass production, soap was made by hand using simple, natural ingredients and time-tested methods passed down through generations. I’ve chosen to stay true to that traditional approach, embracing the slow, intentional process that transforms raw, nourishing ingredients into something both beautiful and functional.

Every bar begins and ends with nature. From rich plant-based oils and butters to pure essential oils, mineral-rich clays sourced from around the world, and botanical powders made from dried flowers—each ingredient is carefully selected with purpose. Nothing unnecessary, nothing artificial, just what the skin truly needs.

The Process:

At the heart of traditional soap making is a method called cold process. It’s where science meets artistry.

  • The transformation begins when lye is introduced. While many people hear “lye” and think chemicals or harshness, it’s actually the essential element that allows soap to exist at all.
  • When combined with oils and butters, the lye triggers a natural reaction called saponification—this is where the “magic” happens. The ingredients transform completely, and by the end of the process, no lye remains—only gentle, nourishing soap.
  • I work with unrefined ingredients whenever possible. They retain their natural properties, colors, and benefits, making each batch richer and more authentic.
  • Essential oils are used exclusively for scent—never synthetic fragrances. This keeps the soap pure and aligned with its natural origins.
  • Clays from different parts of the world and flower-based powders are added not only for their skin benefits, but also for their unique textures and earthy tones.

Made With Intention

In a world filled with fast, artificial alternatives, I believe there’s something special about slowing down and creating something by hand. Traditional soap making is not just about cleansing the skin, it’s about reconnecting with simple ingredients, respecting the process, and appreciating the transformation.

Each bar carries that intention from start to finish.

Natural, carefully crafted, and made with pride.

Useful Tip:

To make your soap last even longer, try cutting your bar into 3 or 4 smaller pieces and use one at a time. This helps keep the rest dry and preserved, so you can enjoy it for much longer
