Wood Wick Care Instructions
Your Candle
Your candle features a natural wood wick for a soft, comforting crackle and a beautiful, even
burn. Wood wicks behave differently from cotton wicks — they are slower to ignite, create a gentle crackle, and may burn smaller at times, which is part of their charm.

To enjoy it fully:
- Wick Already Trimmed – When you receive your candle, the wick has already been trimmed to the perfect length for safe, even burning.
- First Burn – Allow the wax to melt to the edges of the container during the first burn. This prevents tunneling and ensures a long-lasting, consistent melt pool.
- Remove Burned Wood – After each burn, gently remove any charred wick debris with your fingers. Turn the container slightly to catch all remnants and keep the wax clean.
- Trim as Needed – Keep the wick trimmed to ¼ inch (0.5 cm) before each burn after the first to maintain a steady flame and reduce smoke.
- Avoid Drafts – Light your candle in a calm space, away from fans or open windows, so the flame can burn evenly and the crackle remains soothing.
- Extinguish Mindfully – Gently blow out or use a candle snuffer. Avoid tipping the container to pour out the flame.

Troubleshooting Tips:
If the flame becomes small, uneven, or extinguishes:
- Blow out the candle gently.
- Trim the wick to ¼ inch (0.5 cm).
- Use a small tool or your finger to remove any charred wick pieces and tip the container slightly to let a bit of liquid wax escape.
- Relight the candle — the flame should return to a steady, crackling glow.
The natural crackle is part of the ambiance
A small flame, slow flicker, and gentle warmth create the full sensory experience.
Your wood wick is delicate and intentional, designed to complement the subtle essential oils and crystal energy in your candle. Proper care ensures every burn is safe, beautiful, and full of presence.
